Year One…

The main focus of the next few months as you might imagine will be getting this site ready to go live. We hope to have the alpha site ready in a week or two. The how of it all is something we’re still iterating on intensely. The what is what we’d like to give a quick overview on.
The overall blueprint we’ve laid out some plans we call our Year One.
Our Year One push will help flesh out how this site solidifies in form. To do that, we’ll be tackling several projects with our testers whom we hope will become subscribers.
- MRS – This is our open modular rigger. As we push it through this year to get it production ready we will invite testers and then subscribers to learn how it works, to start using it and improving it. The work product of these efforts will be pushed back into the co-op.
- Morpheus for Unity – This will be a full Unity character package with a move set that will be able to be used by animators to replace and test their own animations inside of the Unity game engine or game developers to use for prototyping their own games. The package and move set will be a constantly evolving asset to take into account multiple game types and genres, and will be set up to be adjustable using the Morpheus system to adjust the character to any proportions. Year one will be about getting the initial character package and move set developed, along with pipeline tools to get animation and rigs from Maya into Unity.
- LBS – This is about content creation. We have an IP that we’ve had on the back-burner too long and wanted to find a way to make use of it. So, we’re going to make it available to our subscribers to make games or educational content and help you do it.
Over the next few weeks we’ll keep sharing on bits and pieces of what’s happening until the site is live when we’ll move our main communication to that platform.
